With 44 needed from the last 5 overs and 2 wickets in hand, luck favored New Zealand as Mark Gillespie squeezed some useful boundaries off inside edges and living dangerously.

He was eventually run out, but not before making a huge impact with a 15-ball 28 runs cameo which put the match perfectly in balance with 7 runs off the last over with 1 wicket remaining and McCullum on strike.

Without allowing for any more twists and turns, McCullum smashed the first ball of the last over for a massive six, releasing all the tension and pressure and with the scores level, hit a four to wrap up the match in a thrilling 1 wicket win and a 3-0 clean sweep in the series.

New Zealand pulled off a terrific win from the blue in one of the greatest run chase in cricket history and one of the best last over finishes in cricket history ever.
