The runners up of the recently concluded Champions Trophy - India will now travel to the Caribbean Islands for an ODI series followed by a lone T20I. They would be disappointed at falling short of the last hurdle but would still have their confidence up as there were many positives for them to take from the tournament. While the concentration is on the resignation of their coach Anil Kumble, skipper Virat Kohli will be eager to get back to winning ways and climb up the rankings. The fact that the visitors have announced a full strength squad shows how serious they are for the series. The only two changes made from the Champions Trophy squad are that of Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav. They have come in for Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, who have been rested. On the other hand, West Indies have announced the same squad which drew the ODI series against Afghanistan. It was a disappointing one for them as they failed to beat the Afghans. Their batting didn't fare well and their problems against the wrist spinners were in the limelight once again. Jason Holder's men would look to learn from their mistakes and try to correct them quickly as India will be itching to unleash their spin trio on them. The Men In Blue have recently dominated proceedings against the hosts, who haven't been able to win a bilateral ODI series against them since 2006. Will this pattern continue or will the Windies find the belief in themselves to stir an upset? The answer to it will be clearer in the series opener taking place at the Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad.
