Suresh Raina once again proved that why he loves IPL. Move over Yusuf Pathan, AB de Villiers or Glenn Maxwell knocks -- Raina showed what real carnage is all about. If Virender Sehwag's 122 off just 58 balls was not enough for Wankhede on Friday -- Raina treated the Mumbai crowd with some enormous hitting. It was left-hander at its very best.
The left-hander from Ghaziabad scored 25 balls 87 that included 12 fours and 6 sixes but unfortunately it went in vain as Chennai Super Kings lose to Kings XI Punjab by 24 runs.
Chasing a mammoth 227 to win, CSK lost Faf du Plessis in very over of the innings off Mitchell Johnson but then came Raina in the middle and the southpaw showed what T20 cricket is all about. Despite Johnson dismissing du Plessis in the overs, Raina picked up two boundaries off him. Johnson erred in line and was cut to ribbons by the relentless hitting.
