Islamabad United is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team that competes in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team is nominally based in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan and was formed in 2015 to compete in the first season of the Pakistan Super League. The franchise is owned by Leonine Global Investments through its sports entity Leonine Global Sports.The franchise won the first PSL title, defeating Quetta Gladiators in the final.

Misbah-ul-Haq is a former Pakistani cricketer who captained the Pakistani team in all three formats of the game. He is Pakistan's most successful Test captain with 26 wins.

A late bloomer, Misbah was a middle-order batsman best known for his composure with the bat whilst also having the ability to be an aggressive big shot player when required. Misbah holds the world record of scoring most runs without century in ODI career.Misbah holds the record of the fastest test half century and shares the record for second fastest test century with Sir Vivian Richards.



Alex Hales is an English first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed opening batsman who currently plays for Nottinghamshire and the England cricket team. He made his One Day International debut against India in August 2014 and his Test debut against South Africa in December 2015. Hales is the first and up to date only English batsman to score a T20I century. He is also the first batsman to be dismissed for 99 in an ODI and a T20I.



JP Duminy is an international South African cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a part-time right-arm off spin bowler. Andre Russell is a Jamaican first-class cricketer. Russell plays for the West Indies internationally and for Jamaica in West Indian domestic cricket, as an all-rounder.Widely regarded as the biggest hitter of the cricket ball, Russell has hit a century in 42 balls (3 fours and 11 sixes in Caribbean Premier League vs. Trinbago Knight Riders). He bats predominantly in the middle order for the West Indies.
