Farewell to Hiroshi Yamauchi (1927-2013), former president of Nintendo for 52 years. Oddly, the Gaming Legend known for bringing such hits as Super Mario Brothers, the Legend of Zelda & Donkey Kong to life, did not play video games himself, saying "I have better things to do." Yamauchi took over Nintendo in 1949 after his grandfather asked him to. Yamauchi also invested in other businesses such as instant rice, "Love Hotels" & he was part-owner of the Seattle Mariners Baseball Team. He was 85.
